Marion Dougherty's exquisite taste and gut instincts helped change the old studio system and usher in the New Hollywood through her casting of landmark films like “Midnight Cowboy,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “Bonnie and Clyde.” Lynn Stalmaster did the same with movies like "The Graduate" and "Deliverance".  They were iconoclasts that broke away from traditional typecasting and brought new kinds of leading men and women to the screen, among them Dustin Hoffman, Bette Midler, Robert Duvall and Gene Hackman.
